Competitions provide valuable feedback for evaluating behavioral, psychological, and social outcomes, creating a dynamic learning environment for children to enhance physical skills and personal growth.

Competition and play go hand in hand for children. Play serves as an ideal platform for learning essential social skills. The excitement of competition fuels learning, as children are fully engaged. The competitive environment nurtures the development of skills, encouraging children to always strive for their best. It cultivates cooperation, creativity, and emotional control in a stimulating setting.

Our mission extends beyond the program’s duration. By inspiring a lifelong interest in science, we empower your child to unleash their creativity and create something truly amazing. Join us on this transformative journey, where education and enjoyment go hand in hand!

Weeks Three and Four (June 17th-June 28th)

  • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) STEAM for young children falls under the umbrella of inquiry instruction. Inquiry instruction encourages active hands-on experiences that support building understanding and vocabulary, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and reflection. We will facilitate inquiry experiences by creating opportunities for children to learn about the world through STEAM lenses and by asking high-quality, open-ended questions. Inquiry practices provide young children with opportunities to approach problems in new and authentic ways. Some of our field trips will include: the Cleveland Science Museum, Amphitheater, and Cleveland Aquarium.

Weeks Five and Six (July 1st-July 12th)

  • Weeks Five and Six: Foodology (the study of food, nutrition, and how to read and make certain recipes.) During these two weeks, students will explore food, nutrition, recipe comprehension, and preparation. The theme will be Math, teaching children the art of precise ingredient measurement. This theme will incorporate valuable lessons on selecting healthier snacks, comprehending the concept of a four-course dinner, and practicing proper table manners. Exciting field trips are planned to Fresh Thyme Market, Patterson Fruit Farm, and Youth Chef Academy to enhance the learning experience.

Weeks Seven and Eight (July 15th-July 26st)

  • Weeks Seven and Eight: The Arts – Children learn a lot more from graphic sources now more than in the past. It’s important for children to know more about the world, than just what they can learn through text and numbers. Using art can teach children how to interpret, criticize, use visual information, and how to make choices based on it. Inventiveness: When kids are encouraged to express themselves and take risks in creating art, they develop a sense of innovation that will be important in their adult lives. This theme is packed with fun art projects, painting, drawing, acting, singing, and writing songs. Kids can learn a lot from making art, and how it can be a lot of fun to create something new. The children will have an opportunity to explore Trip to Art it Yourself, intricate Tie Dying, and even bi-monthly Tai Chi, a form of internal art.
