October Overview Now that the month of Halloween is wrapping up, we’d like to share all the fun, festive things we did to celebrate the season! Children's Christian Club at ESLC

Children’s Christian Club is BACK!

Preschoolers enjoy the return of the Children’s Christian Club! In this past club meeting, students were very attentive as “Zach” the puppet shared a story about God creating water, food, and clothes. We can’t wait for the next Club gathering!

Preschool Academy Coming Soon

Exciting changes are happening with our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs! As part of an ongoing commitment to meet the needs of today’s children and families, our Management and Preschool Staff are redesigning our Preschool program.  During the month of May you’ll see changes rolling out. The first change announcement….. Preschool Academy Location Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Programs at the ESLC Richmond Road location are moving into the ESLC Chardon Road location. Preschool Safety Walk Do’s and Don’ts

Our teachers, staff, and volunteers are looking forward to taking our preschoolers on the annual Preschool Pedestrian Safety Walk tomorrow! Our Very Hoppy Literacy Month

Literacy Month at Early Steps Learning Center was packed with fun stories and activities.  We hope that the children have been sharing the stories and excitement for reading at home!  We wrapped up the month with a very adorable addition to the ESLC Family…introducing Prince Charles, our Pre-Kindergarten Class Bunny!  Prince Charles loves being spoiled by all the attention and stories.

Celebrating Our Favorite Authors

During the month of March, all classrooms are excitedly exploring the theme “Favorite Children’s Authors.”  These authors  include: Eric Carle, Bill Martin, Jr., Dr. Seuss, Mercer Mayer and Denise Flemming. The Kindergarten Enrichment class had a lot of fun during the Eric Carle week making a “spider web” after reading The Very Busy Spider. Who knows what we’ll spin up in the weeks to come!!

Community Helpers Week

In our preschool programs we recently explored the occupations of different “Community Helpers.”  During this week we had a visit from a local dentist office as well as one of our grandparents who is a postal worker.  The children enjoyed learning about these two helpers, and enjoyed the goodies they were able to take home! A big thank you to all of our local Community Helpers who work so hard to make our community a wonderful place to live.
