Preschool Safety Walk

All of our Preschool programs went on a very important Safety Walk.  The purpose of the walk was to teach the children “street safety”.  Several days before the walk we discussed street safety with the preschoolers using pictures.   Today was the big day – we made a 30 minute round-trip walk to the University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center.
During the walk we practiced walking on the sidewalk, stopping at the crosswalk, waiting if the sign indicates ‘do not cross’, and looking for cars before walking when the sign indicates to ‘walk’.
Our staff are very proud of the preschoolers!  Ask your preschooler to go on a walk with you and show you what they learned!
